The Hudson Ultra Low-Volume Sprayer (98600a) is a motorized backpack sprayer that is best used for pest control, mosquito control, and insect control in your gardens, orchards, warehouses, field crops, and outdoor areas where there is an infestation of insects / pests. The sprayer consists of a 2-cycle, 2.5HP (at 5000 RPM) motor, a 67 ounce polyethylene fuel tank, a 105 ounce polyethylene pesticide tank, and a vane type, direct drive stainless steel fan and housing. This Hudson backpack sprayer is capable of handling all spray materials, including wettable powders in high concentrations and emulsions. It is excellent for use on rough terrain and is highly effective as an air broom. The specially designed fan drives an airstream for micron size droplets (18 to 75 microns), enabling the sprayer to cover paths up to 75' wide and 50' high. With this sprayer, you will limit the amount of pesticide used and the amount of labor exerted, as 1 tank of 105.5 ounce pesticide treats up to 7.5 acres in about 1 hour (the discharge rate is 1.6 ounces per minute walking at 98' per minute and a swath of 50'). Pesticide costs will be reduced because there is no wasted pesticide from run-off onto non-desirable spraying areas. The backpack comes with wide-padded shoulder straps, a shaped and padded body rest and a body strap with a fast-release buckle. Also included with this Hudson ULV Sprayer are 3 ULV-type nozzles (1.1, 2.0, and 3.5 ounces per minute).
